I literally have not had a pierogi since college. One of my college roommates was from Pittsburg and like their die-hard love for the Steelers, pierogis are a big thing there.

When I spend time with children, as I have during the holidays, I start to remember and reminisce about what it was like. One of the most beautiful things that I learned from this holiday season is being fearless. They have no idea what it means to be “embarrassed.” That is a beautiful thing.

I have been making this carrot ginger soup since literally years ago. Since the days when my friends and I would hang out in my apartment and I was using second-hand pots/pans to make this delicious soup.
If someone offered, I would travel 2.5 hours one way for apple cider donuts from Indian Ladder Farms, a place near where I went to high school. I truly wish I were kidding. Warm donut with cinnamon sugar cannot be beat and I am NOT a donut person. I did not even like Voodoo Donuts…
